I saw Dr. Myers a year ago with a prostatitis caused from a staph infection and he kept prescribing me doxycycline repeatedly even though it wasn't working. I was in severe pain off and on for the year. I asked him numerous times to give me a stronger antibiotic to which he refused and said this was protocol. I eventually quite going to his office. When I could finally get into a specialist at KU he gave me leviquin and within two weeks the infection went away and never came back.
