When I was young I'd go and get an eeg every six months they would give me a pill and I would come out not remembering what happened almost like a date drug a criminal would use. I have never been anywhere else that makes me take medicine or cause memory loss. I barely spoke to him ever I was so out of it after every visit my parents just thought I was tired but I know better. I asked my parents to take me to another doctor but they said I was over reacting. Fair warning to parents and children.
He's a caring and intelligent Pediatric Neurologist with an excellent skilled staff.
My daughter has been having seizures at 12 months. After 3 1/2 years Dr Casadonte finally tested her for dravet's syndrome. Dr. Casadonte admitted he did not know much about it - and didn't research it. He put her on Keppra with horrible results. He referred us to Vasquez who didn't even look at her chart. She was put on Vimpat which caused an increase of seizures from two per month to two per week. My daughter has been a patien of Dr. Casadonte's for about a year. We were referred by All Children's NICU. I have been very happy with the treatment we have received. Dr. Casadonte never seems rushed and always explains everything.
We were referred for our daughter with CP. Dr. Casadonte wanted to test her for a rare disease he was getting grants for. When her tests came back negative for his study we were brushed off and dismissed. Would never return to this office.
I was referred to him by an All-Children's ER doctor after I mentioned I had been having daily headaches for several years. I went to him for about a year and a half, and by the time I left I had switched on and off of four different types of preventative medicines, and fairly strong pain medications (he was prescribing these to a 16 year old, I questioned his judgement somewhat). Dr. Casadonte was my 3rd neurologist. He accurately diagnosed what my girls had on the 1st visit. They have something only 50 children in the world have. Forever grateful.
VERY COCKY DOCTOR. WILL NOT ACCEPT THAT A MOTHER KNOWS HER CHILD BETTER THAN THE DOCTOR. WILL NOT WORK WITH THE PARENTS ABOUT SYMPTOMS OF THE CHILD. THIS DOCTOR KILLED MY SON BECUASE OF HIS STUPIDITY AND IGNORANCE.
