Five star surgeon for sure.
I had a very good experience with Dr. Jones. His staff were very helpful. Yes, it is hard to get an appointment but once you do the nurses are very through and friendly. Dr. Dones had me try different treatments before I had my surgery (MRI's. therapy) but when they didn't work - surgery it was. His staff walked me through the steps, he came to visit me before and after surgery. I was always treated well. I was always able to ask questions and I got the answers I needed. I was referred to Dr. Jose Odones through the VA, and my experience has been extremely disappointing. My appointment was rescheduled twice without proper notice, yet I was never informed ahead of time. On two separate occasions, I showed up for my scheduled appointments only to be told that they had been changed. I traveled from Harlingen to Weslaco, and after that inconvenience, they attempted to move my appointment again to McAllen. Old lady at the front does not like her job. No greeting and does not say a word just stares at you until you say something. Customer service is terrible.
I was EARLY for my appointment after reading all the other reviews. I had what literally should have amounted to a 5-10 minute appointment. Take out the spinal cord stimulator trial and give me an appointment for the placement of the permanent one. A “nurse” removed the trial leads in my back by 2:10. Appointment was 2:00pm. All good. Waiting room was PACKED, just like everyone else who has had an issue. I even gave up my chair to a lady more handicapped than I am.
