I try to give people the benefit of the doubt and ended up having two appointments with Dr. Holmes. Both were atrocious encounters that left me flabbergasted with how a person could be so cold and heartless. Dr Holmes is concerned about getting surgeries as that's where the money is. When it comes to caring for a patient or providing medical care that is where he comes up entirely short. Dr Holmes has been amazing, he is down to earth. Speaks to me like I am human and makes sure I understand what we are doing and looking for. His team at MHS was great at relaxing my anxiety before getting an EGD/biopsy, he came in explained step by step and walked me through the procedure. I will continue to follow Dr Holmes for my GI issues and refer pts from our primary clinic to him for GI issues as well.
Dr Holmes was one of the most respectful and kind doctors that I’ve had. I was very scared of some things on an MRI and he explained everything very professionally and had me at ease. I feel like my care is a priority with him and my husband even said he is switching to Dr Holmes for his next colonoscopy.
At the urging of one of my actually caring cancer liaisons I am writing this review. I had been sick for 2 years. While in diagnosis phase this dr insisted I get a second colonoscopy I did not want bc I was barely over 100 lbs and very sick and was afraid of being put to sleep again. He screamed at me until I was on all fours dry heaving into his waste basket. Through my tears I said ok ok I’ll do the colonoscopy.
