I had four levels of cervical fusion last May 28. I saw Dr Lustgarten yesterday for my one year post op. I feel great !! Dr Lustgarten is the best. This man is a god of his field. I have suffered with spinal issues for 10 years including excruciating pain and being bedridden. I had seen 35 doctors across the tri-state area and not one could be bothered to even look at my case. Dr Lustgarten performed a multi level lumbar laminectomy (L1 through S1) on me in November’26. Ninety days later I was back playing golf and pickleball- he didn’t improve my game(s) but it was great to be back doing what this 80 year old enjoys doing !
I had TRANSFORAMINAL LUMBAR INTERBODY FUSION (TLIF) L4 & L5 in March. I can't believe the 2 major issues/pain are resolved. Such a blessing that I was able to stand 30mins without being in tears. Dr Lustgarten and his team are amazing. For the past 3 yrs I had tried epidural, Nerve Ablasions, physical therapy, acupuncture and chiropractic care. At the beginning they were helping but over time only last a few weeks. Last resort was surgery. Im so glad I went ahead with surgery.
