Dr. Yee has been a god sent. Expert in is field and takes time to talk to you. In my bad luck I was lucky to have him and his team do my surgery and Elizabeth mastering the details.
Outstanding surgeon and wonderful human. He made a very emotional and intimidating process less stressful. I felt well treated by him, his secretary Elizabeth and the care of the nurses in the Thoracic Surgery Unit at VGH (especially Maddie and Dominique) were outstanding.
Dr. Yee performed a Lobectomy on my wife in March 2026 and she is now recovering. I did a research on Dr. Yee and saw a lot of positive reviews and comments. Now that I have to get to know him myself, even the best of those comments and reviews do not say enough of what a great professional in his field he is and further, what a wonderful human being he is. I have the greatest admiration for him and I honestly believe he is a gift to the health industry.
Dr John Yee is an extremely skilled and professional surgeon. He is kind, compassionate and extremely caring. Although he is the head of his department, he spends time with his patients without making them feel rushed. He will carefully explain the situation and the procedure. He offers much reassurance to his patients which helps them deal with their prognosis. He has the most incredible assistant.
