Doctor was great the nursing staff wasn’t so competent… forgot to give me my ID so I had to have somebody get it a week later, I’ve called this office about 40 times and got to talk to someone maybe 5 times, and that’s being generous to say the least… hope doctor dosent get affected by bad staff..
Dr. Schoonmaker is the kind of physician every family hopes to find. He truly cares about his patients' welfare and is kind and considerate. With a careful strategy that included both medication and lifestyle advice, he assisted me in controlling my blood pressure. I always feel knowledgeable, encouraged, and assured about the next phases of my care when I leave an appointment.
It’s kinda funny seeing people put 5 star reviews when this is by far one of the rudest drs office my husband and I have been to. We’ve never gone together so the fact that we go separately and still don’t like this office says something. The front office staff is sooooooo rude and unwelcoming. From the front desk to the exam room, the entire team at Valley Medical Center makes you feel welcome and comfortable. Wait times are fair, and scheduling is simple. The doctor is very knowledgeable, thorough, and patient. I particularly value how thoroughly he went over my test results and guided me through a workable treatment plan that worked with my schedule.
I’ve been seeing Dr. John for over a year now, and I couldn’t be happier with the care I’ve received. He never rushes me during appointments and always takes the time to listen intently.
