(Update: This review was originally posted around a month after delivering my child. Now 6 months postpartum and am still receiving therapy/counseling. Holy Family washed their hands of this encounter after investigating and leaving it as, "He's not an employee of ours," despite the request to look into having this OB seek empathy or sensitivity training to better his treatment or even just no longer allowing him on their L&D floor. Moments of anguish, anxiety, depression anger still hit hard at random times. I'm using all o... read more

If I could give zero stars I would. This is one of the most inconsiderate, unkind doctors I have ever come across. His responses are rude, harsh and snappy. During my visit he was hostile to my husband and I but also to the nurse (who was amazing). I’m having my third child and I have never come across anything like my experience with this doctor. We left the hospital, and went somewhere else. He did not walk me through anything he was doing, he gave no warning when doing anything. This doctor made me switch delivery spots a... read more

If I could give zero stars i would. I came in for a hysterectomy consultation after my mom passed from uterine cancer. He refused because i was 'too young' to know i was done. I was 37 years old, with a 17 year old. My mom had just died of uterine cancer and he knew it. 3 months prior. I told him my extensive family history with cancers. Then when I pushed more, he said I could lower my cancer risk by getting " below obese levels". Then I continued to push and he said "ok, I guess if you won't quit, but im not happy about it... read more

Would not recommend him being in any persons birthing space. Highly unprofessional, no compassion or empathy. Refused to wait less than 5 minutes for my husband to come back up from the hospital cafeteria before putting his hands in me to check dilation prior to a rupture of membranes. Did not ask consent. My labor experience, as a first time mom, was wonderful from all of the nursing staff and previous OB that was on call, up until this man took over on-call and walked into the room. We had to fight for my husband to catch ... read more

I’ve seen dr McKenna twice, both times he seemed annoyed and like he had better things to do. When I tried to explain my symptoms he rolled his eyes. I’m finally pregnant now and trying to switch doctors, that’s a nightmare! It has to be approved by the office manager, I called 10 days ago and still waiting for my request to be approved or denied. But I absolutely refuse to go through this pregnancy with that man. Thinking of finding a new clinic altogether.
