Tongue Tie release -clipping for 10 weeks old baby. We had our baby referred to dr McClay for her tongue tie. As the tongue tie was not interfering with breastfeeding we didn't want to do the procedure. Dr McClay was definitely inclined to not doing the procedure until he was ablento check iur baby and he said it was pretty severe and the chances to develop speech issues were high. Dr. McClay is fantastic. Waiting time is hit or miss but I haven't seen it be excessive.
Every time I’ve been to this office with my toddler it’s been a 1-2 hour wait to be seen, with having a pre scheduled appointment. We will not be coming back just for that fact. Other people in the waiting room have reported the same experience.
Dr McClay had this flagged and removed but I hope this can save one other parent before he does that again. I have a friend that’s a pediatrician and she’s heard similar stories. I pray this post can save one other mama from possibly going what I went through. A routine tonsillectomy that turned into a NIGHTMARE. We have been seeing McClay for 6 years, for all 3 of my kids. Never had an issue until my son had a massive bleed out from a tonsillectomy which led to a blood tranfusion, a ventilator and an ICU stay. The ER doctor... read more
