Transferred to SMH from a birth center and was treated SO disrespectfully by Dr. Abu who was on call that night. He caused me to tear badly by stretching me open while my baby’s head was in the birth canal. Spoke down to me about my choice to refuse certain medications & said my baby would die. Made me take a drug test and tested my baby for drugs to add insult to injury.
By far the worst doctor I have ever met. If it was up to him I’d be 37, with a hysterectomy. His bed side manners alone need to be addressed. You can not gaslight a patient and also corner them in a hospital room bathroom to make them sign a consent form for a massive surgery not needed. If it was up to this doctor I’d be 37 with no chance of choosing if I get to have a child or not. Ok so thankful for other hospitals who don’t employ him - that I could go to. He destroyed my beautiful baby boy. Just horrible. How is he still allowed to practice medicine?!
Absolutely horrible Dr. Honestly I'm shocked he's still allowed to care for laboring mother's. He lied multiple times during my labor, and tried to force meds and procedures "by hospital policy". I tried firing him but he was the only doctor there. He yelled at the nurse and me for "making a mess" WHEN MY WATER LEAKED on the floor. He forced me to deliver on my back during back labor, wouldn't let me push when the urge came (I had an unmedicated labor) and lied about a serious life threatening condition I DID NOT HAVE. Dr Abu was on call when paramedics brought me to hospital sitting in blood pool and passing huge blood clots . I got in before noon doctor called for him since he was an call . He did not show up. Instead he ordered a an ultrasound two hours I got in er where I lost more blood . My blood was leaking non stop like from open fawcet. Young lady doctor tried to get him many times and he ordered another ultrasound and I start dying again . My body got in shack and what I was afraid of I needed blood transfusion fast .
