UPDATE: Of all the doctors I have had over these many years, Dr. Devlin continues to outshine them all. Dr. Devlin is a person who you can tell got into being a doctor for the right reasons AND continues to serve as a doctor for the right reasons. He has taken good care of me for over 4 years now. My mom was under Dr. Devlin’s care for multiple myeloma. Despite her quickly declining health he withheld treatments because of low blood counts(from the disease) rather than treating the her blood counts while treating the disease. He also told her, her pain was psychological because she had a history of depression. It wasn’t until after we requested bone scans, which showed multiple bone lesions and fractures that he prescribed pain medication. Dr. Devlin has been my oncologist for 3 years now. He diagnosed my leukemia, he knew what it was simply by looking at some bloodwork, but proceeded to make sure the tests were all in and evaluated before he made it 100% definite. He's got to be one of the few doctors in my lifetime that has so much concern and care for his patients. He takes time to assess your progress, talk about concerns, and generally is just one of those people that makes you feel like you are important and your care is important to him. He was my husband’s doctor twice. The 1st time no problem. This time he and his staff were so incompetent that the start of his chemo was delayed by almost 2 weeks. They told us appointments were made and they weren’t they didn’t bother to check charts for things like allergies to contrast dye. Then blamed me for not telling them. I asked for a verification of something he prescribed and he didn’t know what he had prescribed said he didn’t write it on his chart. Please stay away from this guy. Terrible doctor.
