Dr. Alston's focus is only on drugs, drugs, drugs. He had little to no focus on talk therapy. He never asked about my physical health, blood pressure, kidney function, liver function or blood work before prescribing me seven different drugs. Some of them were very powerful anti-psychotics. In the four years that I was on the drugs, my kidney readings (EGFR and creatinine) steadily declined and became out of the safe range. $550 for new patients and $180 for every 30 minute visit after. They make it very hard to get insurance coverage. Although he seems to have quite a bit of knowledge he is very impatient for a doctor who specializes in children.
