Dr. Mcgowen is an amazing surgeon. I just had an ACDF c4-6 fusion. After hearing of people with immediate post operation issues (in general, not Dr Mcgowen specifically) I was highly concerned about throat/neck issues post surgery. Ailments such as very hard to breathe and swallow, neither were a concern at ALL. When I came out of surgery I thought I could potentially have a very difficult time swallowing and perhaps even breathing. There have been Zero issues.
