I was out of state and care from my own doctor so I called and got Dr Cooper. He was wonderful and cared about how I was feeling. He gave me an antibiotic and even gave me something to help relieve my symptoms for a couple of days til the antibiotic could kick in. I would definitely try to see him again if I could. Dr Cooper said he had faxed the scripts to the pharmacy where I needed it filled but when I got there, they did not have it and the hard copies were not in my follow up email. Not good , It would seem as though Dr Cooper likes to have discussions not open for discussion . After requesting a particular cough syrup that i had been taking for SEVERAL years (because of its effectiveness) he refused to prescribe it citing "he didn't like it". I did take the medicine "he liked", and it was no better than OTC !. Maybe the good doctor should tune into his patient rather than just broadcast . I met Dr. Cooper at Urgent Care while taking my daughter in for a minor issue. He was so kind to her, made her laugh and explained everything to her in a way she would understand. I began to tell him about my SCI and have not found another Dr like him that truly listened to my concerns. You can tell he genuinely cares. I didn't know he had a practice and will definitely be calling to see if he takes our insurance. If not, I will pay cash. He's kind, very knowledgeable, and trustworthy.
