While it looks like Dr Matta has now retired, I have to post this 5 star review after a conversation with my husband. In 1994, age 20, he was in a motorcycle accident that broke his hip. The ortho in town said he couldn’t do the repair, and referred him to the “best” in LA. To this day he has a perfect gait — you’d never know he has titanium in his hip. the only evidence decades later is the scar and the subtle ache he feels when the seasons change between warm and cold. I can not thank Dr. Matta enough for the success of my surgery. Thanks to his procedure I am still able to dance professionally. I am back better than ever. I highly, highly recommend!
Matta fused my right hip after a bad car wreck because the ball and cup shattered into small pieces so there was nothing to screw the hip replacement into until it calcified years later which it has. I'm hoping to have it done soon. Dr Matta is an amazing person and his staff is as well.
Dr. Matta replaced both of my hips at the same time in 2015. I could not be happier with the results. I am now 100 percent pain free. I am back to hiking, biking, swimming at the lake, and am doing yoga and Pilates. I have traveled to Europe and can take long car rides again. Choosing him to be my surgeon was the best decision I have ever made. The surgery was so worth it. He is talented, kind, and very dedicated.
