Dr. S did not rush the appointment, explained everything she was going to do and gave me options for the future. Enjoyed Miss Pat and Buddy as well. Very homey setting.
This is how all doctors should be: knowledgeable (of course), patient, very personable, tries to find solutions to all your problems and concerns. Spends as much time as needed to answer all your concerns.
I've been seeing Dr. Smoolca for years. She's very thorough and explains what needs to be addressed and why.
Dr. Smoolca is incredibly professional and personable. Her office runs smoothly, scheduling is a breeze, wait time is minimal and her care is top notch. In addition to excellent care, the visit does not feel rushed. She takes time to explain, listen and treat you as an individual.
My daughter had a severely infected and painful ingrown toenail that needed surgical removal. Dr. Smoolca and her assistant Pat did everything to put her at ease, explain what was happening, why it needed to be done and what it would feel like. They both have a warm, welcoming demeanor and actually had my daughter laughing through-out the procedure. She said afterward that she had been dreading going, but she had a lot of fun instead. That says it all. Thank you, Dr. Smoolca!!!
Dr. Smoolca is very knowledgeable. She taught me things about my feet (and pulses) that are life-saving. Because of her treatment over the years, other conditions I didn't previously know about can be safely monitored by my other doctors. She is also a fun person - foot care visits are like delightful outings. Pat and Buddy are faithful and efficient sidekicks. I recommend Dr. Smoolca and her staff wholeheartedly!
Dr. Smoolca and Pat at the front desk (who multitasks and does other nursing assistant-type things in the office as well) are both awesome! This was my 1st visit and Pat (& Buddy) were very welcoming. Dr. Smoolca is very personable, really knows her stuff and really takes her time with you, explaining everything to you and answering any questions you might have. Nice thing too is that they have later after work appts. So glad I took my friend's advice to go there for my foot issues.
Dr has a temper and tends to treat patients like children. Example: once I asked about participating in an MS trial. He exploded railing about not having the time and not getting paid for what he has to put into a trial. His staff seems to be afraid of him. If they think he will get angry, they won't push for a patient. He may he good but he is arrogant. I have met other patients who feel the same way.
Dr. Smoolka is very friendly and personable. She made me feel very relaxed as she worked on my feet, and encouraged me on my foot care. I recommend her highly.
