I have been in pain for months if not over a year and was referred to this office by SAINT ALPHONSUS ORTHOPEDICS & SPORTS MEDICINE BOISE. I never received a call from the referral. Called them 3 times only to find out after calling the third time that they "REFUSED" to see me. Isn't this supposed to be a Pain Clinic to assist those of us that are living with chronic pain? Horrible! On my medical records, the whole truth is missing from this doctor! My test should have taken, an hour and a half test, I was there in the room for 4.5 hours! (Short Verison) I was taking a stress test, the IV one. After being given the medication, quit a few times, I stated something is wrong. All of a sudden I went 100% paralyze, from head to toe. I moved to Idaho so I could be seen by Chawla after being told I had an incurable leukemia. I was not ever dissatisfied with that decision. My blood work looks absolutely normal and it has been almost 3 years since he addressed the problem immediately and we began treatment. Seen by PA about work related injury. He spent about 45 seconds actually assessing my injury. Told me stories about his own injury and told me the test to find out what was happening was to expensive and the only thing he could do was send me to physical therapy. Beware of discrimination in the office on Emerald. 6 weeks since my daughter's mammogram and ultra sound, with the radiologist saying she needs a biopsy.. Well guess what? Someone in that office doesn't want her to have one. Appointment after appointment, and they claim they don't have her on the schedule. Or, that they don't have any needles for her. How many months down the road does it take to save someone's life?
My husband was diagnosed with ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis) when he was 63 years old 4 years ago. The Rilutek (riluzole) did very little to help him. The medical team did even less. I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't have the pleasure of having Dr. Durham for their physician. He's basically a rock star. I really appreciate his candor and bedside manner. His thoroughness in covering all of the basis in a wellness exam and addressing any of your concerns. I also appreciate the fact that he's not overly cautious in writing a prescription.
