If a person has severe mental issues such as PTSD or clinical depression, I would recommend another therapist for specialised treatment. Dr Roberts worsened my illness because she did not understand the depth of my suffering and pushed for objectives I told her I could not achieve. And then berated me for not trying hard enough.
An exceptionally talented, empathetic and caring psychologist. I have known Dr Roberts professionally for over 20 years and would highly recommend her.
I saw Dr Roberts for a short time to help me with Panic attacks and social anxiety. She helped me understand what was going on in my body and brain with the onset of panic. This made it all seem like nothing to fear, which helped me immensely. I am now able to recognise when a panic attack is approaching and get it under control with the methods Dr Roberts showed me.
I have found that Dr. Joanne Roberts has been a wonderful support to me in my period of stress and emotional difficulties. I would recommend her for counselling. J. Wilson, R.N.
