I’m a recently retired Geriatric Nurse Practitioners from a northern city. I was getting a rat race of having to see only PA’s for my work up of cervical pain radiating to my arm/thumb, which was not what I’m accustom to-we typically say a neurosurgeon directly w/o a gatekeeper. Probably the worst physician experience I've had. Paid for several diagnostics and handed me a bunch of sample pills. Then had follow-up that amounted to nothing. With the last one being, well I was going to do that but now I've decided not to but thanks for taking off work coming in and paying me for the visit. Ultimately, I received no real treatment or assistance that amounted to anything but paid lot of money. Also, what kind of a back doctor has an office where the patients have to climb stairs with no elevator??

I saw Dr Allen in Wilmington and in Leland. I had a fall that knocked me unconscious and caused a concussion. She is excellent managing my symptoms and referring me to appropriate providers. 2 out of 3 times she was right on time for my appointment!

Great physician. Helped me with a wrist fracture when I fell...Saved my back from surgery by precise steroid injections. Even helped me when in pain from foot surgery by another doctor. Very knowledgeable, helpful & thorough. Only con is she’s hard to get into.
