In a time of uncertainty, Dr McDonald was calm, kind, experienced, encouraging, and listened to my needs throughout the process. I would recommend her to any patient wanting a good OB/GYN. My baby was born early, my body was stubborn and I was so scared as a first time mom with a family history of inability to progress and emergency c sections. Dr McDonald listened to my desire to go natural and waited to go the c section route as long as possible while still keeping me and my baby safe. She is an angel and deserves an award... read more
Dr McDonald is truly an amazing Doctor. My husband was relocated to STL as I was newly pregnant. Having to stay back in our then current city for awhile I was seeing my OBGYN and a high risk doctor due to GDM with insulin. I saw McDonald 3 weeks before delivering for the first time. I have never felt more seen, understood, and safe as I do/did at the time with a high risk pregnancy with Dr McDonald. My experience with Dr McDonald was from 2018-2019, I am just now realizing how awful it was, now comparing it to my current, AMAZING, OB. My entire pregnancy (it was my first) my questions and concerns were all dismissed and I was made to feel dumb for asking questions pretty much every visit. When I was 39 weeks my water bag started leaking and Dr. McDonald tried to convince me I was just peeing myself. Told me to show up 30 minutes early via text. As a mom of two young boys you don’t always have ample time to be 30 minutes early. I got to my appointment 2 minutes early. I had everything ready to go. The lady at the front was not rude, but not kind. She told me the doctor couldn’t see me until February. Didn’t offer a call if a patient cancelled. I took off of work and drove 30 minutes to see them. It would have been nice to receive a call 15 minutes prior to my appointment if they were going to turn me away.
Dr. McDonald is amazing- personable and funny. I found my Lady doctor for life- or until she retires!
