As a nurse thinking about a gastric sleeve, I definately asked around before I found Dr. Henke. I was mostly focused on post operative care. I heard horror stories of patients being seen for initial periods of 1-6 months post their surgeries but then the physicians would discontinue follow up care, even if the patient still needed care. Had my procedure done at this office a few months ago as a cash payment patient. I paid ALL of my bill upfront based on the information I received from the office. After the procedure I received a bill for over $1,200.00 from pathology (the stomach was sent after it was removed). I called Dr. Henke's office and the receptionist (who completely upset and that's not the first time) told me to call pathology and ask about the cash payment discount and the bill would be reduced. It has been more than four years since my bariatric surgery. I had a gastric bypass in December 2017 performed by Dr. Henke. I thought it might be a good idea for me to finally leave a review since it’s been so many years. The surgery went very well and my recovery was very smooth and uneventful.
