I am allergic to every mainstream antibiotic. I have had 3 seizures because of the allergic reaction. I got very ill abscess on my colon and Dr Akram found an antibiotic that worked for me I had to be on these antibiotics for a length of time with no adverse reactions. I thank God for him and is work!
Dr. Akram and his assistant Shelia are incredibly kind and knowledgeable. I have been receiving care from him and his team for years. They run the office in a low-tech way, but I have never been billed inaccurately or had any other problems with them. I am sad to be moving out of state and to no longer be able to go to this office.

My interaction with Dr Akram was about one year ago, and was short & painfully unprofessional. Upon my first and only interaction with him he impatiently responded to a question about my sisters care. I lost my patience with the doctor and acted in a way I'm not proud of but he quickly lost his temper, matched my energy & followed me out of the room when I was trying to get away from him to request someone new. I am a patient of Dr. Akram's with HIV. Although I do not have a problem with my doctor, I do have a problem with the front desk. I called today and spoke to a young lady (I did not get her name) and told her that my insurance does not cover my medication. It is $8800 for 3 months. I told her that I can get assistance through Gilead for $7200. I asked her if she had any resources I could use to help with the $1600 difference.
