Dr. Hackett is absolutely wonderful and his staff is wonderful. Front deck is great and it’s a very clean and welcoming office.
Dr. Hackett is truly a great practitioner and human being. I can talk to him like a friend. He is very compassionate and caring. I've been seeing him for the past 6+ years. He listens, gives you the time needed to explain your situation and truly is concerned for your wellbeing. His staff is super efficient and I get urgent appointments on the same day. His new office is really nice and getting labs is so easy now! Give him a try, you will be very pleased.
I've been a patient with Gainesville Family Practice for the better part of 10 years. I just received a letter stating if I didn't pay them the $5 I owed them from a copay increase that they will send the matter to collections and discharge my ENTIRE family from the practice. This is for $5 I owe for an appt. in April 2016! The funny thing is I told the receptionist that my copay increased from $25 to $30, but she refused to let me pay the $30 at the time of my visit. What a crappy practice!
Dr Hackett is a nice man, the staff is awful. I missed two appointments, one time because I unexpectedly had to work (and the nature of my work is I can't leave), another time because I had the flu and came in after my appointment time because I was so out of it I misremembered the time. I told them I'd pay the fee and reschedule. Insteads I was booted from the practice - they would no longer see me. Typical of the medical community these days - they are more important than you.
