I am writing to formally request a review of my Emergency Department visit on March 27, 2026, due to concerns about the sequence and completeness of my care, as well as the resulting charges. Dr. Jason A. Shanker has been a lifesaver to me. I arrived in ER desperate for his prognosis of my medical situation. After exrays, blood analysis, and careful wxamination, he was able to carefully and completely explain to me my prognosis, choices, and options. He was polite, complete, and answered all my questions without hesitation in a timely manner. His personality was outstanding and professional. I will be in his debt for a very long time, and appreciate his skill set forever.
Here's a revised version of your feedback: I was seen by Dr. Shanker in Mercy ER. My experience was extremely disappointing. Despite being in unbearable pain and in tears, he only offered me Tylenol and said there was nothing more he could do. My daughter had to plead with him to prescribe a stronger pain medication.
