Failed to inform the family of an elderly patient (who had a history of cognitive impairment) that they had been diagnosed with bladder cancer. Failed to organise a face to face meeting with the family. Failed to inform the family of surveillance options related to local anaesthetic & regional anaesthetic. Blatant lies that "agreement was made with family patient is not a candidate for surveillance". Dr Paterdis is a very good doctor. Ive seen a lot of doctors over the years, and he is definitely one of the better ones. He took the time to listen to what I had to say and explained things in a way that was easy for me to understand. I didn’t feel rushed at all during the appointment which was nice. He seems to really care about his patients and made me feel comfortable. I left feeling a lot better about everything and confident in what he told me. I would happily recommend him to anyone looking for a good doctor.
Never organised a face to face meeting with the family of an elderly patient to adequately inform them of the diagnosis and how it would be followed up and treated. A Staff Specialist has referred to the handling as “appalling”.
Jason is outstanding. I am incredibly grateful for his expertise and compassionate care. He took the time to thoroughly explain my condition and treatment options, ensuring I felt informed and supported every step of the way.
