Met with Dr. Levenson and he was over an hour and a half late (never apologized). He seemed knowledgeable about Lyme disease but was condescending with his care recommendations. He mentioned I could not take the typical antibiotic needed due to pregnancy, and that looking up what type of antibiotic I would require would be too much. Instead he recommended getting a blood test in 10 days - 2 weeks where the results may or may not be conclusive and mentioned that it would then be my PCP or OBGYNs job to figure out and treat. Dr. Levenson has been a lifesaver for my wife, simply because he listens compassionately.
Dr. Levenson has been my primary care physician for many years and warrants the grade of "excellence" in every capacity. He is brilliant in his knowledge of his medical world and has always treated me with great caring and compassion. His manner is just what the doctor ordered. I am fussy when it comes to expectations of my "quarterback" and I feel most fortunate to be his patient. He is a tremendous asset to the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center.
