If I could give a zero star I would. Court forced the family into counseling years ago and Dr. Shields wouldn’t even give us a copy of our own session and it was filed under our insurance.
I’ve been seeing Dr. Shields for about 18 months now after a set of tragedies hit my life Jim helped me get through the situation and avoid turning to alcohol and drugs or any of the other things people escape through. About fifteen years ago, when I was around ten, I began seeing Dr. Shields as part of the support order during my parents’ divorce. Throughout those sessions, he barely spoke to me. He would sit in silence and focus on his own paperwork while I was left completely unsupported. Taking advantage of a situation involving a child has long-term consequences, not only for me but for the integrity of the work he claims to do. Jim is a professional. I have worked with Jim on some family circumstances over the years, we have not always agreed however I can say that he is genuine and he is a professional interested in solutions . It takes a certain type of individual to engage in this work--- i will say that if you invest the time , the truth and the solutions will be made apparent and he will walk with you as a guide . Thank you Dr. Sheilds for what you do and continue to do .
