What a Great Dr. and his team, I drove from Berlin to Annapolis to have one of the best drs EVER! Thank you Dr. Macdonald, Kathy Potter and everyone else on his team.
Dr MacDonald performed my first knee replacement and I had such an exemplary experience that I have planned to drive from DE for my other knee replacement in Aug. If you are considering a knee replacement I suggest that you schedule with him quickly because there is a considerable wait due to his popularity. He staff is extremely well organized and the process is incredibly thorough. He is not only a gifted surgeon, he takes sincere interest in his patients.
My TKR has gone better than I ever could have expected. I had a few rough PT sessions in the first two weeks but other than that my pain level was totally manageable. I stopped taking prescription pain meds after the first two weeks. Today marks week 12 since the surgery and I have totally resumed my normal life and never really think about my knee. Dr. Macdonald and his staff did an amazing job!
UPDATE: May 22, 2025 TKR (Right Knee). I did not hesitate to schedule my TKR with Dr MacDonald after success of my hip replacement last July. I was so pleased with my recent TKR results thanks to Dr MacDonald & his surgical team, especially Kathy Potter who guided me when I needed it most. My full knee replacement surgery did not go well. Almost 2 years later I still experience pain, and wake up every night with knee pain. If you're fortune and your procedure was successful all is well. I had problems and was told there was no need to come back - there wasn't anything else he could do except another knee replacement. I'm not saying that there was malpractice, what bothers me is the lack of care if it doesn't go well.
