Fantastic surgeon. Currently at home recovering from bilateral hip replacements, off opioids within 3 days and getting around quite well with crutches. Highly recommend Dr Phillips.
I did my homework. He has done both my hips. His skill, his persona, and his explanations of before and after procedure are topnotch. I cannot understand anyone being unhappy with having him as their physician. If you to disparrage him. want to walk without pain with a minimum of post op rehab, sign him up. He had one potential patient with impossible demands that chose to visit every site she could find to disparage him, and he never performed surgery on her. Draw your own conclusions.
Feb 21, 2018 hip replacement by Dr. Phillips at New England Baptist. Excellent preparation, surgery, follow-up care. Off crutches and meds in 4 weeks. Returned to my walking, Spinning, golfing, gardening, shopping self in 7 weeks. Hope he will be available if my other hip needs to be done. Dr. Phillips was the best!!!
Dr. Phillips replaced my hip last week, my first surgery ever. I went home with no opioids, and my bandage came off in 4 days. After a week I'm down to 1 crutch. His attention, kindness, expertise exceeded all expectations. I am so grateful.
He rushes you. Does not give any post-surgical advice. You will feel like you're part of a machine. No contact after the surgery. Didn't even call me. I spent a total of about 4 minutes with him from the time I went into his office prior to the surgery, The day of the surgery he spent 30 seconds with me and didn't even give me any advice as to what things would be like afterwards. And I never saw him after the surgery till I went 2 weeks later to my post-surgical appointment. Spent 60 seconds.
Dr. Phillips professionalism, knowledge, compassion and bedside manner is un-matched. Dr. Phillips appointments are thorough and not rushed. He communicates his recommendations clearly and I am confident with all of Dr. Phillips treatment recommendations. I am blessed to have found such a wonderful Surgeon.
I am a seventy years old female. Stay clear of this doctor. He spent a total of seven minutes with me and misdiagnosed my knee problem. He told me, "that some elderly people in this world do not have access to medical help and have to live with the pain". A second doctor explained everything about my right knee and has me scheduled for a knee replacement. I do think Dr. Phillips made his wrong diagnosis because he was running 40-60 behind schedule and wanted finish his day on time.
