Dr. Knutson did an amazing job with the spinal biopsy on me. He performed the procedure meticulously and during it thoughtfully and calmly talked me through every step of the way. It was a pain free process which I was very happy about. Minor soreness as explained and expected the next day but easily and comfortably went back to work. I need to also point out that his Nurses assisting including those outside at bedside were so friendly, pleasant and attentive to me. James did a paracentesis on my wife 2/10/17 that was almost painless and used no narcotics . She had had several done at the Duke hospital in Durham which were painful even with the use of narcotics (dilaudid). It was obvious to both my wife and me that his technique was VERY different from the doctors at "Big Duke".
