I have been seeing Dr. Hendrick for over a year, and in that time I have lost over 50lbs, and have formed significantly healthier eating habits. I am so grateful that I started seeing him, and I would recommend him to anyone who struggles with their weight.
Dr . Hendrick is really great. I wasn’t sure what to expect when I started my weight loss journey, but he and his staff at Medical Metabolic Specialists have supported me every step of the way. Most positive weight loss experience. Lost 40 plus pounds by learning new eating habits and keeping weight off 4 years. Easy to lose weight but maintenance is the difficult part. Positive reinforcement to change past eating behaviors. Much improved A1C diabetes.
I genuinely hope that Dr. Hendrick can and will help some people, but I will never be one of them. This was my experience. My PCP recommended trying weight loss medications; however, I was hesitant and wanted more guidance. I found Dr. Hendrick. He agreed with the PCP’s recommendation, talked through several considerations, and - after an initial trial run - helped me discover that insurance would ultimately require participation in 6 months of a “comprehensive weight loss program” to qualify going forward. Office and staff were wonderful, but I did not have a good experience with Dr. Hendrick and can't recommend this medical group. I didn't meet Dr. Hendrick until my 3rd visit, which was strange, and I found him to be really dismissive towards me and my questions. Basically, any question I had was secondary to the need to reduce the number on the scale. It was really disheartening.
