I made a request for an apt with Dr Bookout online, for as soon as possible. I was going to be traveling in two days. The next morning at 8:45 am, I got a call from the office with two openings. I was thrilled. Excess walking in the pool, injured my knee. After X-rays and an exam, Dr Bookout told me about my arthritis and bone on bone situation with my knees, which I’ve been aware of.Then he suggested a cortisone shot. I trusted Dr.Bookout's knowledge, what my MRI stated what I may have, he only told me to do the RICE and it would take months to heal, I wasted 8 months of having an injury, he said there was nothing more he can do. I finally realized his RICE method was not going to heal my injury, and went to another Orthopedic, which he took one look at it , told me what it was , and now I am seeing a Radiologist who is assisting my Orthopedic doctor to heal my injury. Dr. Bookout was a joke. I went to see him with knee pain. xray showed alost no arthritis. He sent me for a MRI. After reading those results he said "It's arthritis " gave a cortisone shot that did nothing. I read the MRI report after seeing a different doctor it clearly stated moderate to severe meniscus tear. I am now in need of a total knee replacement. Thanks to him diagnosing me wrong. PLEASE FIND ANOTHER DOCTOR.
