He asked more questions about my history than any previous psychiatrist. He explained well. He really seemed to care.
If your wanting scripts and no real care , this is your Doc. Pill mill.
The worst, most unprofessional back office of all time. MD is waaay past his prime and nobody cares about anything aside from collecting money.
I would encourage my family and friends to visit him for mental health and/or addiction issues. He seems very concerned about doing what is best for his patients. There is a sign in his office that states some patients could require more time due to medical issues. Maybe a little bit hard to plan your day around an appoint but it is worth it to know that you would get extra time if you needed it!
Dr. Halikas is professional and has excellent listening skills. The waiting time in his office is at least 20 minutes plus. If your in a rush, he's probably not the best choice for you. He's worth the wait, in my opionion.
Its 10:30 am on Friday st Patrick's day. Our appointment was at 10:15. No secretaries, or dr here yet. One gentleman was here for his appointment at 10:00. He left pissed off. Another just left with an appointment the same time as ours. This is nothing new. If our appointment is scheduled for 9:30 am- we don't see the dr show up till 10:30/11:00. If that doesn't happen, the billing department usually tries to swindle a copay even though my bc&bs have said I don't have one- stay far away!!!!
Dr. Halikas is very concerned and caring. I would recommend his practice to anyone.
