As a provider myself (who also works for Washington University), I am embarrassed and astounded that physicians like this are still practicing medicine. He was so rude and patronizing in the beginning of the visit that even he knew it, changing his tune by the end of the visit to try to compensate. (I never revealed that I too am a provider). I just had my 3rd surgery by Dr. Herzog. Tympanomastoidectomy with ossicular chain reconstruction. Herzog and his staff have been incredibly helpful along this journey. It helps so much knowing you're being treated by one of the best surgeons around.
Dr Herzog and the resident Dr Peterson were attentive and patient. They were both pleasant, took time to sit down and listen to me and explain options. The staff was also very kind.
Right ear prosthetic surgery today... the left was done 6 months ago. I was frustrated & felt isolated in personal conversation, social settings, & at work during coworker discussions.
