Not a great experience. I've been using his office for over 5 years. I never met him or spoke to him until last year which was virtually and he seemed unaware that I had been his patient for years. Now, they are billing me outside of insurance for the information from my machine that I could have provided for free. I will be seeking a new practice. I had an at home sleep test with Dr. Maxwell back in 2019, and I needed to retest last week because I finally got good insurance. I decided to go back to his office since I tested with him 5 years ago and had a great experience. So, I scheduled a virtual appointment with Dr. Maxwell, he joined right at the appointment time, and was incredibly kind, caring, and knowledgeable in the field. I had a disastrous experience with this doctor's office. Despite my explicit request to only proceed with a sleep test if my insurance covered it, they failed to verify coverage. As a result, I'm now facing an outrageous out-of-pocket bill. TLDR: Before you spend all your money, ask questions. Know what you are being charged and know why. Find out your options. Be explicit and clear in the end or the office makes choices for you. - spent more than $300 in "consultations" that gave no useful info - was blindsided by fees to get results I had already paid for - a prescription was submitted after I had said "no".
