I was 18 yrs old in 1993, Dr. Messina at Lakeland Regional Hospital saved my life with a reconstruction of my Mitral Valve. No mechanical valve, no pig’s valve. Just his compassion and care to have a young woman live her life to the fullest! Dr Jack J. Messina, Saved my life back in 2004, I had endocarditis and the Aortic value was destroyed by vegetation. Dr Messina put on an hybred pig value in its place, rebuild the mitral, and put me back together. His wife put me back on track in the recovery room. Several times thought of him in the past 11 years and the only reget I have, never was able to thank him for what he did for me and my family. Thank you very much, there will be a special place in heaven for this fine person.
