Dr. Hershman is a great doctor—attentive, kind, and knowledgeable. However, there are three caveats: his secretaries always seem to be in a bad mood, he is consistently overbooked, and despite my arriving early, I often leave late. Additionally, he doesn’t use computerized prescriptions, which makes obtaining medications a challenge and an inconvenience.
When I found out that I needed prostate surgery I searched for the best surgeon I could find and found him not in a major medical institution but in Phelps Memorial Hospital in the bucolic village of Sleepy Hollow. By that time I was bleeding heavily because my prostate had enlarged to much and was running out of time. I was in another hospital but although they were able to help me urinate with a catheter they did not stop the bleeding. Dr. Hershman operated and stopped it. He is a wizard! He's always busy but he gets back and tries to accommodate emergencies. Recommend highly
Dr Jack Hershman is by far the very best urologist in Westchester. I have been and will continue to be a patient of his for the rest of my life. One review said he had to wait to be seen I would wait for ever for his care. Gentle caring soft spoken knowledgeable are just some of the words to describe him.
Dr Hershman is a fine doctor but he constantly overbooks !!! I have yet to wait less than an hour for my appointments which gets frustrating after a while
