I saw Dr. Shpats as a patient years ago...and I still carry the trauma of what I experienced under her 'care' to the point where I still think about it to this day. I have never had such a callous experience with a doctor. I went in for a Well Women's exam, one of the most vulnerable positions you can put yourself in as a female patient, and she was dismissive and degrading the whole time. I have been a patient for 25 years. She is an excellent physician. I am always able to get an appointment. Her staff is good.
I am an 83 year old woman and am being denied my blood pressure medication by this doctor!!! She’s awful!!! I was told to schedule a physical before she would refill my prescription but she has no availability the last 3 times I called and I run out of medication in a few days!!! I will now have to go to the emergency room to get my body meds!!! This is horrible!!! Stay away from this doctor!!!
She is extremely argumentative and does not listen to her patient. It does not matter what you know about your body and how your conditions effect it, she diagnoses without examination or testing and provides no options for relief from symptoms. She claims test results will only be sent in the mail in 7-10 days or if you make another appointment with her before then. Never going back to her again. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

She is by far the worst physician I have ever met. She talked to me for a total of 5 min my last visit (after an hour of waiting). She even prescribed me birth control without doing a standard pregnancy test. She just wants your money and doesn't care about your health. I would never wish her 'Care' on anyone.
