After struggling with back issues for years and seeing a pain management specialist and an orthopedic surgeon, I finally had an MRI and decided to consult with a neurosurgeon. A great doctor. He listened to my issues and explained what was going on with my spine in a way I could understand. He ordered extra imaging to ensure the proper surgical procedure was selected. His PAs and other staff were also very helpful in explaining my diagnosis and setting my mind at ease before surgery. Post surgery I am healed and looking forward to getting back to my active lifestyle and playing with my children.
Pre op C4-c6 herniated disc Lost all dexterity in my hands, my whole thorax was numb and was barely able to keep my balance. No pain though but extremely uncomfortable 1 month post op I would say I’m about 65% recovered. My left hand is almost back to normal and my right hand has very minimal tingling, but it seems to be improving by the day My thorax is back except for a little patch at my belly button My balance was restored immediately after the surgery given I could walk in the hospital. The minute I woke up from surgery I had relief. I am so grateful for Dr. El-Kadi and the staff that made this all happen.
