Was a client of this clinic for probably a decade for ortho-K lens as a teen. The front desk staff was rude and Dr. Shen was cold and aloof. Worst of all, he was consistently 45-60 min late for appointments. I recall the one time I was 10 minutes late for an appointment, they placed me at the end of the day and made me wait for hours. Haven’t been here for a few years and now I remember why I shouldn’t come here. The doctors are great, the front desk is not. Rude, incompetent and down right confusing to talk to. I booked an appointment for my family in person. They left me a voicemail the next day with no details but to call them back. I called and the receptionist kept asking me why I’m calling, couldn’t handle it and passed me off to another receptionist who also couldn’t tell me why they left me a vm… Fast forward to appointment day, my daughter comes ... read more
Don’t know why all the staff act like they woke up with a rod up their backs. During my exam the optometrist handed me the prescription without any astigmatism reading and I told him. Note this isn’t my first time, I’ve been coming since I was a child and didn’t know any better. Only after asking did he put down an astigmatism reading, of which, I DID have. So basically they don’t even treat you properly and treat you like you’re intellectually inept.
I have tried several optometrists in Metrotown, and this one is definitely the worst. -No direct billing -Higher prices for contact lenses compared to other optometrists in Metrotown -Poor customer service: they do not provide digital receipts and do not ask for your preference in contact lenses during the fitting. Instead, they just give you whatever is available in the store
