My husband ended up in a motorcycle accident ended up in the ER. He had a trainee and a trainer nurse helping. The trainer nurses name was Amilea and she was helping her trainee, they did absolutely nothing for my husband. I had to tend to his wounds help him out of bed, he has several broken bones throughout his body and was waiting on surgery, with a massive gash that tore apart the back of his leg. These nurses never gave him his pain medication on time. Never changed his gauze, his bedding was soaked in blood and sweat, ... read more
Reasonably good care, but our family feels that there was inadequate pain control. When a person is dying, surely there’s no need to adhere to a schedule for pain management.
On March 11, I went to the Emerg at Langley Memorial. I had severe flu conditions and was especially concerned about my breathing and lungs. I fully expected to be waiting hours before being treated but my experience was anything but a long wait. The personnel, staff and Dr. Sui, the doctor who eventually treated me, were all exceptional, kind and efficient. I ended up having a chest x-ray and it was prompt and the staff very friendly. I was in and out in just 2 hours. I was extremely pleased with the type of service and ... read more
Incredibly smart staff. They know who turn away when seeking pain meds.
The staff is outstanding. I wish they would ask that only one family member per patient rather than 15 people waiting for one person. It is disheartening. Especially with the loud prayer music when you have a migraine.
Great delivery. Both kid and mom are well.
Wanted to thank the paramedics and the entire staff at Royal Columbian Hospital from their very professional, heart warming and caring attitude. At my request—and despite some reluctance and opposition from the long-term care home—my mom asked to go to the hospital because she was feeling unwell. The paramedics were called, and she was brought to Royal Columbian Hospital, where we were met with nothing but kindness and professionalism from the moment we arrived. After a full assessment and testing, it was confirmed that my... read more
My dad cam to SMH with Chest pain 3 weeks after having an angioplasty and stents put in his heart. He was triaged immediately and had an ECG and bloodwork drawn before my mom could park the car. He was in a room being monitored and was seen by an emergency room physician within an hour. He was seen by a cariology resident and cardiologist within 2 hours. They adjusted his medications, ordered repeat troponins, got results and discharged him in less than 4 hours! 5 stars to Dr Cadieu, Dr Sharma, and the nurses Melissa and Gra... read more
I have a visitor from Europe and we needed a doctor for an ear problem .I had never been to Urgent Care, and I must say we were pleasantly surprised. The reception is good and then we had a nurse named Carrie, who checked the patient over and made a time for a visit with a doctor. She was very nice and made you feel comfortable. Then back a few hours later to see Dr Gill. So friendly and helpful and explained everything very well. All in all, a good visit.
