Seeing Dr. Deleon was an absolutely terrible experience for my son. The dr would spend 5-10 min with us and then prescribe meds. When it didn’t work he made a drastic increase and caused very serious problems for my son. Constant turn over of employees in the office is also very frustrating. My advice is drive to Orlando to see real Dr’s that know what they are doing. Now my son is on a much better track and everything is monitored, like a real MD’s office. I have had the hardest time finding any descent psychiatrists in this area. I have actually suffered some mal practice from a few. This doctor immediately put me at ease. I was beginning to think that I would never be able to trust anyone again but so far I just feel so relaxed around him. He treats me with respect and actually wants to help me. This is not your average psychiatrist . He is very ķnowledgable, but relates really well and is not a "stuffed shirt" at all. I highly recommend him!!!
Do not trust this man with your children. He does not believe that children even have the capability to be mentally ill, and prescribes medicine to keep them sedated and tolerable.
Appointments are too brief (15 mins) and discussions are limited to his opinions, he's less interactive than my therapist.
Dr DeLeon is a careful, detail oriented physician. He prefers when his patients speak up and say what they expect the medictaion to do for them, and he listens if it is not woerking. He is studied on the newest meds as well as familiar with the older meds and off label uses. If you are asserrtive and take your medication as prescribed, he is excellent! he cares very much, just takes a few times to get to know each other. I was suffering depression, I got my life back. I am so grateful.
I have been seeing this Dr. for over 2 years only because my plan is very limited as far as who they offer. I came to him for help, and this person doesn't even look at me. When I told him my dad died, he didn't even look up. All he says is "so, how are your meds working out"? Iwas late 6 minutes for an appointment and he said he had to leave to pick up his son. I have waited over an hour and a half at times for a loosy 5-10 min. visit. Stay clear of him. He is ripping off my insurance company by chargin about 295.00 a visit... read more
