Dr. Caddell delivered my 2nd baby, and I happily returned to her for my 3rd. I had been seeing her for years at this point and felt close with her. The day I was scheduled to have my 3rd (40.5 weeks), she came into our room and said that the hospital was running behind, it was her day off, and she had a hair appointment to "cover her grays". She handed me over to a male doctor I had never met. For these reasons, I do not recommend her.
Dr. Caddell delivered my baby three weeks ago via C-section. I am extremely thankful the surgery resulted in a healthy baby. However, I am disappointed in Dr. Caddell leading up to and following the surgery. I have Type 1 Diabetes and openly shared my desire to go into labor naturally (as long as my blood sugar remains controlled throughout the pregnancy). Dr Caddell has been my doctor through two of my three pregnancies. I came to her because she was HIGHLY recommended by my sister who had her three babies with this practice. Dr Caddell is extremely supportive of her patients’ choices UNLESS it is unsafe for the mother or the baby. She was highly supportive of my desire for a VBAC with my second child which ultimately didn’t go that route because my body chose otherwise. Caddell said she was VBAC supportive but did not follow through. Unfortunately, I ended up having a repeat C-section without any attempt at TOLAC, even though that was my wishes and I was an appropriate candidate. Now, she says she will not support my desire for a TOLAC because I've had two C-sections. She never mentioned this during my pregnancy, and even provided me with paperwork that contradicts what she is now claiming to support.
Dr. Caddell is truly one of the best doctors I’ve had! She is knowledgeable, approachable, and has amazing bedside manner! She listens to all of my concerns and helps me make great informed decisions. I never felt rushed and always felt like I was receiving the best care! Thank you Dr. Caddell!
