I have never met a more cocky doctor than this man. Not only does he down play other diagnoses (such as depression) but he is quick to pull out the prescription pad. One of the worst doctors I have ever met.
I've been seeing him for six months. His staff is very good; they pick up the phone right away and it's easy to get an appointment and change appointment times. He has an odd personality, different from any other doctor I've ever seen. He likes to joke. He really doesn't know too much about my condition -- trigeminal neuralgia -- but it's very rare, and I don't think many neurologists know much about it. He doesn't rush you as many other doctors do. I had my first office visit with Dr Pats and not only was he thoroughly professional & detail oriented but his wry sense of humor put me at ease. His receptionist was very nice to speak with also. Highly recommend considering the source when reading these reviews.
I seen him for a yr and a half for abnormal MRI:s suggesting MS. told me i had MS then not sure then secondary progressive, then well maybe lyme or syphilis, did lumbar puncture which showed MS from a MS specialtist Dr Pats told me possible MS. I have to comment on the last entry. Dr. Pats walks backwards because he is watching our gait as we walk.
Not very personal with his patients, did not explain certain tests or medicines very well. I felt rushed
I have been a patient of Dr Pats for almost 1.5 year now. The staff is a hit or miss. 1/2 receptionists are excellent and the other one, aggressive and does not want to submit referrals. Dr Pats tries to help patients with what he knows and is not afraid to refer out to Hopkins or other providers. He is willing to do extensive testing if the patient complies and warrants it. This M.D & his staff are so unprofessional I don't even know where to begin. My mother whom is extremely incapacitated had a new pt. appointment sched. with this physician.After the difficulty of getting her all the way up to his office,I was rudely told by the doctor:"I don't see assisted living patients" and he WALKED AWAY!!His staff would not even glance at me.I inquired to the first passerby if I could inquire why I wasnt told when I made the appt.& was told that patients are routinely "dumped" off & they can't accomodat... read more
I was diagnosed with migraines and had several symptoms like migraines, weight gain, fatigue, PCOS, depression and they all began to occur at the same time. I was a very healthy young woman at the time working out daily and eating very well. For years this doctor and many others kept prescribing me medication that never worked. Turns out I had gluten intolerance and ever since simply changing my diet all the above symptoms are gone.
