Appointment was rescheduled due to his "attending a conference" so I waited months to be seen - only to be brushed off in about ten minutes. Would not consider my concerns and mansplained the concept of "calories in/calories out". When I asked for a more thorough thyroid blood panel I was told it didn't exist, then told it did exist of other labs came back abnormal. Had trouble discerning my records on the computer. All in all an incredibly disappointing appointment that took months to get.
Dr. Barbesino was warm and engaging with me. We chatted about some common interests before discussing my health matters. He was flexible and attentive, offering to schedule an additional procedure if it would put my mind at ease. I was very satisfied with his care and would recommend him to others.
Stay away from this doctor. He is very rude, dismissive, and does not listen- looks only at the numbers, fails to think critically or consider symptoms. Mocks patients. Fortunately I saw another endo who promptly changed thyroid med, managed calcium, had a much more reasonable plan for managing stage 4 thyroid cancer.
He listened to me, that’s what’s important. Him and Molly reassured me . I’ll only Come Here when it comes to my thyroids
