If after 44 years of being a doctor, you misdiagnose a 62 year old woman who has smoked for 50 years as having ANXIETY instead of LUNG CANCER, you need to return ALL your diplomas,certificates and licences. I went to him in March 2022 with concerns of lung cancer and he told me it was "all in my head", and that I needed COUNSELLING.. 1 year later I had to have my lung removed and NOW I have stage 4 metastasized cancer on my skull and will have surgery Nov 15 to remove the tumor and have a titanium mesh to replace the piece o... read more
This doctor treated me like I was an inconvenience in his day. "What can I do for you?" As though I'm a bother. You can read my chart and give me adequate health care, that's what! He was dismissive, he was unconcerned, and just gave me the overall impression that he would rather be anywhere in the world than to be in that room with me. I will be looking elsewhere.
Excellent physician and caregiver.
1 star is to many for Dr. Berdine. My 77 yo mother was a patient of his earlier this year 2018. An initial x-ray had shown a small spot in her left lung in January. With a follow up visit 5 months later the spot had become much larger as shown on another x-ray and CAT scan. During this visit this man looked at my mother and sister and stated and I quote "the spot on your lung is cancer and will need to be removed and at your age it is unlikely you would make it off the operating table." ..... pin drop are you kidding me... d... read more
Dr Berdine could be brilliant in his field, but I did not stick around long enough to find out. I view my relationship (as with any Dr.) as a partnership. He apparently views it as a dictatorship. I bailed after first appointment.
