My father and I saw Dr. Gert Tollesson for my father’s back issues. Dr. Tollesson was honest and straightforward—he told us that surgery wasn’t necessary, which we really appreciated. He then went above and beyond to run additional tests and find the real cause of the problem. You couldn’t ask for a more genuine, down-to-earth doctor who truly cares about his patients. Dr Tollesson is a brilliant surgeon, caring Dr, excellent communicator. I have dealt with many Neurosurgeon's since I was a baby. Dr Tollesson is not like most Neuro's, he has an impeccable bedside manner. He does not suffer from "tall poppy syndrome"! If you want a Neurosurgeon who listens, cares, is thoughtful, compassionate and a decent man, look no further! I have been a patient for over 10 years and I can honestly say, I trust Dr Tollesson with my life. I have seen him for both head and back.
On a deeply personal level, I owe much of my ability to be a father and husband to Dr. Tolleson’s skill and dedication. The surgeries and follow-up care he has provided have given me the chance to live fully, to play an active role in my children’s lives, and to continue my studies at the master’s level while raising two young kids. These are opportunities I would not have had without his remarkable care.
