Aspirus E.R. hospital is by far one of the most caring and sincere group of people I have had the pleasure of meeting and talking to several times because I have major lung and heart problems, so I know when I am going to the E.R. My husband received two blood transfusions at Aspirus Stanley Hospital within the month before he lost his life to cancer. Stanley submitted the bills to Medicare, which paid their portion; but neither Stanley nor Medicare submitted the balances to our private health insurer. Instead, Stanley billed me for all the remaining charges, and I paid a few before realizing they were not being submitted to our insurer. This is where you go to die. The only way I go here is if I'm dead or unconscious.
The Aspirus Eagle River Emergency Department treated my wife with knowledgeable, caring and thorough procedures to ease pain and danger from an abscessed sebaceous cyst on her back. Dr. Maria Tillman and the nursing staff insured that the patient and family were aware of what they were doing and why, and they suggested follow-up treatment. I can't recommend them more highly.
Awful care from Dr Nancy Baker! She charged me for a “preventative” exam even though I did not ask for one or authorize one! I made an appointment for a pap and pelvic and that’s it. I did not know she even did a preventative exam, very few vitals were taken such as pulse, listening to my heart, oxygen levels in the blood, etc. my medical records indicated that I was offered things like a STD vaccine and I was not, told by medical records these fields in the records auto fill. Horrible...had wait about 3 hours so I walked out. Had people who came in after me get seen before me. Don't want to go there again unless I passout or cut off a limb
Ever since Divine Savior got taken over by Aspirus it has failed basic communication, adequate care and have made something as simple as getting labs drawn a huge hassle. Md's overworked. I remember when you could call your Dr at home And that was not to long ago. Will be leaving Divine Savior Hospital and my current MD.
