Dr. Gerard Silva is responsible for the confirmed case of Anesthesia Awareness experienced by me during knee replacement surgery at Syosset Hospital in October, 2018. I found him to be arrogant, lacking in character, and totally unprofessional in accepting responsibility for his error that resulted in my waking up during surgery. Dr. Silva is not someone I would ever recommend to anyone. He is not the type of doctor you would want administering anesthesia to you during any type of surgery.
