Doc is always very nice and helpful. Extremely knowledgeable. He is the only doctor I trust.
To start, my appointment was at 1:45pm...he didn't show until 2:45. While I understand doctors get held up, an hour late is ridiculous. I would have appreciated him acknowledging how late he was or an apology... I also mentioned to this doctor how I was having pretty bad anxiety revolving around my postpartum preeclampsia and he belittled me for the anxiety. I felt embarrassed about feeling nervous.
Over the past few years i have been to multiple OBGYNs for a variety of complications and procedures. Being a military family it becomes hard to see the same physician over an extended period of time. It wasn't until we moved to Pgh that i had made an appointment with Dr. Poutous, and felt completely taken care of. His professionalism and thorough exams are exactly what any women should be searching for when making an appointment regarding their health.
Dr. Poutous was one of the doctors that shared call with my group. After a long night of labor , he came in to deliver our baby boy. It happened so fast. He literally caught the baby , delivered the placenta and left the room. I started to hemorrhage and he was no where in sight. I really believe that his rushing my 3rd stage of labor contributed to this situation and even if this is not the case, I think he should have made sure I was in the clear prior to exiting the room.
